At Vay, we’re building the future of transportation – and it all starts in Las Vegas. While Vegas may be one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, it is also home to one of the most diverse communities in the United States. In order to build successful mobility solutions, we ensure to connect with the communities we serve to learn their real-world needs.

What is Las Vegas to Vay?
Since the launch of our service in January 2024, Vegas has become home to us. The city has long been host to a variety of major tech events, and in 2016, Clark County founded an Innovation District, where the city tests and develops emerging technologies to improve public services, mobility, and sustainability. Las Vegas’ support of the tech industry has made it a launchpad for future-focused companies like Vay. The city has demonstrated a strong commitment to digital transformation, smart mobility, and public-private collaboration, making it an ideal home for innovation in transportation.
What is Vay’s mission?
Our mission is to make remote driving universally accessible. With Vay, users get access to a safe, affordable, and sustainable door-to-door mobility service designed to meet real everyday needs.
Whether it’s running errands, commuting to work, or picking up groceries, Vay offers a practical solution to locals who may not want to own a car but still need reliable personal mobility. Our goal is to bridge that gap between personal and shared transportation, empowering people with freedom of movement by giving them more transportation options while helping reduce car dependency in urban areas.

How is Vay connecting with locals?
Vay has been forging bonds with a variety of local establishments, and has been connecting to locals through live events like First Friday in the Downtown Las Vegas Arts District, and a “Vayborhood” party to celebrate our neighboring community. Thanks to the effort from Vay’s Student Ambassadors, we also regularly attend free speech and other events at local college campuses, like UNLV and CSN.
“Understanding and integrating into the local culture has been an incredible experience,” shares Luca Shaeffner, Growth Marketing Specialist at Vay. “The community provides a lot of key lessons for us on how we can improve our technology to make people’s day-to-day lives easier.”
By showing up where locals already gather, from cultural events to student-organized forums, we’re not just promoting a service: we’re becoming part of the social fabric. These face-to-face connections give us invaluable insights into how our technology fits into daily life, and how we can continue to improve it to serve people better.

Where is Vay in Las Vegas?
As of now, our service covers the Las Vegas Strip, East of the Strip through the University of Nevada – Las Vegas, and throughout the Downtown Las Vegas Arts District. We plan to expand our service area soon in order to meet demand.
As we continue to grow in Las Vegas and beyond, Vay remains committed to building strong local connections. Our vision for the future of mobility is only possible through the support, feedback, and trust of the communities we serve.
