In this edition, we’re celebrating another year of Vay, connecting with the tech community around the world, and getting busy in Las Vegas with new partnerships. Here’s what’s been happening across the team, where we’ve been, and what’s coming next.
News
Vay’s 8th anniversary
September marks 8 years of Vay! What started as a bold idea has grown into a transportation service on public roads, with a team of more than 250 people, a fleet of 200+ vehicles, and over 150,000 rides completed.
As we look back at how far we’ve come, we’re also looking ahead to what’s next. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this journey possible.
UNLV Hockey x Vay
We’re pleased to continue our partnership with UNLV Hockey as the team’s official short-term rental car partner for another year.
Whether you’re heading to a game, meeting up with friends, or exploring Las Vegas, Vay gives players and supporters a flexible way to get around, with a car delivered when and where they need it.
We look forward to supporting the team throughout the season and continuing to build connections within the Las Vegas community. Go Rebels!
Recent Events
After captivating audiences with his Lord of the Rings-inspired talk, “The Lord of Collection Functions – The Fellowship of Kotlin,” Ben Kadel, Principal Mobile Engineer at Vay, has brought this fan-favorite session to droidCon Florida as a keynote speaker on July 17th.

Jenna LaBarre, Senior Legal Counsel at Vay, and Kevin James Paks, Director of Expansion at Vay, spoke alongside automotive industry experts from the US and Germany on the panel, “Ctrl + Alt + Drive: Remote Driving,” at the Automated Transportation Symposium in San Diego, California, on July 29th.
