Vay accelerates Las Vegas growth with 175-vehicle fleet, new Remote Driving Center inside Zappos Campus, and partnership with Goodwrx

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, 29 April 2026 – Vay, a leading provider of automotive-grade remote driving technology, today announced a new phase of growth in Las Vegas.

Vay has opened a bigger local office in Downtown Las Vegas, grown its fleet to 175 vehicles on the road, and has surpassed 60,000 rides. The company is also expanding its team into the hundreds. This includes an increase in the number of Las Vegas-based Remote Drivers and dozens of other roles planned in 2026. Furthermore, the company has extended its remotely driven delivery service into North East Las Vegas, adding the areas already served, including The Strip, Chinatown, and other busy city neighborhoods. As an integral part of the Las Vegas community, Vay has also partnered with the hospitality staffing platform Goodwrx to provide workers with an affordable, lower-stress mobility option.

Through the Vay app, customers can request an electric vehicle to be remotely delivered to their location within minutes. After the car has arrived, the customer takes control and drives it like a regular car. At the end of the trip, the customer exits the car, and a Remote Driver takes over, eliminating the time-consuming search for parking. This creates the most affordable door-to-door mobility service at about half the price of ride-hailing, while also providing complete privacy. Vay’s on-demand service is reshaping how people get around – from errands and commuting to dining out and day trips beyond the city.

“Vay selected downtown Las Vegas as its first U.S. home in 2023, collaborating closely with the city of Las Vegas,” said city of Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley. “Since then, Vay has become a valued partner for our community, providing an affordable, sustainable and innovative service to residents of Las Vegas, as well as creating exciting job opportunities.”

The fleet expansion marks a significant milestone and comes after just a few months of Vay’s previous fleet capacity enhancement to 100 vehicles at the end of 2025. The larger fleet improves availability, reduces average wait times to under 10 minutes for vehicle delivery, and enables broader coverage across the city as customer usage continues to increase.

Vay is also deepening its presence on the ground. Its new office inside the Zappos campus, a renowned landmark building in Downtown Las Vegas, strengthens its operational base and supports the company’s next growth phase. The office will be able to accommodate a large number of employees – including Remote Drivers teams and other operational, business, and commercial functions – while Vay’s production facility in Henderson has the capacity to build up to 16 vehicles each week.

“Las Vegas is not just a city of lights, it’s a hotspot for mobility innovation and the right place for us to scale at pace. We are excited about this new phase and look forward to continuing to see customers embrace our service,” said Thomas von der Ohe, CEO and Co-Founder of Vay. “With 175 vehicles on the road, a growing team on the ground, and over 60,000 rides completed, we’re seeing clear demand for a new kind of mobility. We’re building the most affordable and flexible door-to-door urban transportation – and Las Vegas is leading the way.”

Driving this further, Vay and Goodwrx have partnered to improve commuting for hospitality staff, particularly those working on The Strip, where fluctuating ride-share pricing present daily challenges. Through this collaboration, Goodwrx will offer employees ongoing discounts on Vay rides, delivering a reliable and cost-effective way to travel to and from work.

Looking ahead, Vay plans to further expand its service into other areas of Las Vegas and to more cities in the U.S., enabling more people to access a convenient, affordable alternative to car ownership and ride-hailing.
